Thanks for visiting my webpage! Well I finally got my CD Done! This whole project was never really planned for release. Me and my son Shannon, were sitting around one night listening to all the stuff we had recorded in our home studios one night, and we decided to sift through the HUNDREDS of tracks and try to make something of it. If I ever do another CD, I will keep that in mind before I lay down a hundred undocumented takes!! Anyway! This is what we came up with. We strived for the highest musical and sonic quality we could get out of these tracks. I think we did a good job of conveying the songs's "feel" and getting the best sounding tracks that were avaible to us. Back in the Starlite Rambler days, you would be hard pressed to get tracks as clean as what we can do in our home studios now. I wouldn't try to pass off something that sounds bad to people who have supported me most of my life. These are the songs I've recorded over the last five years, and I'm proud of what they mean to me, what they meant to me when I recorded them, and how they sound. Some of the songs Starlite Rambler Fans will recognize like "Leavin' Louisiana "," Mack the Knife", and of course "Frieght Train". Some of my old partners helped me out on some of these songs. Buzzer (Ben) Murray played harmonica on" Outside of the Law". My old partner in crime Jerel Wood played bass on the "Mack the Knife" track . These are some of the songs I've always kinda' wanted to do, so I just did them at home! My Daughter Molly sings on "Chatanooga Shoeshine Boy" and Shannon helped me out on two or three of the tracks. I thank all of you for your interest in my project, and I hope you enjoy the Music Levi McDonald. Feel free to E-Mail me at levi@starliteramblers.com I would like to here from you. |
