The Starlite Ramblers will perform June 17. 2005 at the

Grizzly Rose in Denver( Thornton? ).

The five original members of Colorado 's favorite Cowboy band of the 70's and early 80'S will return to the stage for the second time in sixteen years to celebrate the release of the groups four albums now on CD. The recordings from 1976 to 1981 have not been available for over twenty years. The songs “IT'S ENOUGH TO MAKE A COWBOY OUTT'A YOU” and “COLORADO ROSE” were regional radio hits in 1980.Michael & Levi Gettin' downThe group sold over 30,000 albums in Colorado without the support of a major record label.Their last reunion was in Feb. 2005 at the Rialto Theater in Loveland Colorado. It was a magical night for the fans and especially the band. Michael Golden, Levi McDonald, Jerry Wood, Steve Fahl, and Buzz Murray, will be doing it all again in a more party time Honky Tonk setting at the Grizzly Rose in Denver.

The group disbanded in 1983 After seven years of playing to Standing room only crowds at clubs, concerts, and rodeos in many western states. The band was popular with country and non-country music fans of all ages, with their high energy "COLORADO COWBOY MUSIC”, A mixture of Western swing, Big band, and good time party songs. Frontman Micheal Golden's stage presence was infectious, with his zany antics, displays of wit, humor, and musical prowess. If that wasn't enough to get you going, there was always amazing vocal harmonies, guitar solos, piano solos, and even bass guitar and drum solos! It was party time! Party anthems like "Cowboy songs and Beer", "Friends of Mine", and the Rambler renditions of the "Auctioneer" and "The Orange Blossom Special" with bits of Steppenwolf and Jethro Tull thrown in, got the crowd in the palm of the band's hand. Getting Tired? Slow it down with bassist's Jerel Wood's milk and honey voice doing some of the most staggering versions of "Night Life",and "You always hurt the one you love", and you can do some serious buckle buffin'! Cowboy song's like the "Old Double Diamond" and "Buckskin Lady" (a couple of Levi's signature songs), and in the early years "Cool Water", "Tumbleeds" and "San Antonio Rose" apealed to folks who liked the old stuff. The Harmonies on the formentioned songs are impecible. Covers of Big Band Favoites such as "Clemintine", "Roly Poly" and ocasionally "Mack the Knife" set the whole place a twirlin'.

Hope to see you there!
